Greetings to whomever may be reading!
The countdown of days until I am outta the USA has now reached the low number of six! Just barely enough time for me to get everything ready to go. Luckily I think most clearly in these kinds of situations.
It hasn't yet sunk in that I will actually be in a very far away place in less than a week. I'm expecting it to dawn on me on the plane ride to London. Perhaps I should apologize in advance to whoever is sitting next to me if I look a bit disoriented. Don't worry, it's not that you smell bad. It's just that what I'm doing for the next 5 weeks has FINALLY sunk in.
This last week before I leave is perhaps maybe likely probably surely absolutely going to be hectic. I've got to pack everything. And my brother's graduating. And there are 85,904 other little tasks to do. But as I slowly chip away at my enormous to-do list, the excitement's creeping up on me. Somehow writing this blog is making it all more real. I love adventure, and I don't think there's any way this trip won't be one.
I should probably go get ready.
